The Prodigy Return to Creamfields After 14 Years to Headline Its 30th

The Prodigy will close the APEX stage on Saturday 28 August 2027, confirmed as the first headliner for Creamfields’ 30th anniversary edition.

It is their first appearance at the festival since 2013. Fourteen years.

Creamfields runs Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August 2027 at Daresbury, near Runcorn in Cheshire, over the August Bank Holiday weekend as usual.

2027 marks 30 years since The Fat of the Land, released in 1997, at the same time as Creamfields marks its own 30 years.

That album took the band from the British rave circuit to a global act, and it produced the two tracks most people name first, Firestarter and Breathe. The set is expected to draw on a catalogue spanning 35 years.

The festival called them one of the most influential and electrifying electronic acts of all time, describing a show that combines retina-blasting visuals and soul-shaking bass.

Their statement also made the point that the band came out of Britain’s underground rave scene before tearing down the boundaries between rave, electronic music and punk.

How Creamfields Did in 2026

This year’s festival sold out, with 80,000 at Daresbury.

That is the context for moving this early on a 2027 headliner. Creamfields launched in 1998, originally in Winchester, before becoming the Cheshire fixture it is now.
