Jonathan Pie’s End of the World Show Reaches Glasgow on Saturday 7 November, and It’s Sold Out
Jonathan Pie, the furious fake news reporter Tom Walker has been playing since 2015, brings his new live show to the Pavilion Theatre on Renfield Street this Saturday. The tour’s own website has the Glasgow date marked as sold out, along with the next night at the EICC in Edinburgh, so anyone without a ticket now is looking at resale or a trip south.
The show is called The End of the World According to Jonathan Pie, and the tour blurb sets out the targets. Pie is coming to terms with having voted for Keir Starmer’s Labour, while Reform waits in the wings, Elon Musk pulls strings and Donald Trump enjoys himself, and both the far right and what the blurb calls the woke left come in for it. Climate collapse, AI and the prospect of a third world war round it off, all of it billed as a guide to surviving the apocalypse.

Walker writes the character with the comedian Andrew Doyle, who joined in December 2015. Pie made his name with rants filmed as if the camera had been left running between takes, and he first went viral after losing his temper outside the Houses of Parliament.
The Show Starts at 7.30pm and Runs About Two Hours
Saturday’s show starts at 7.30pm, and listings for the Pavilion put doors at 7pm. Other dates on this tour have run to about two hours including an interval, so a finish around 9.30pm is likely, although the Pavilion hasn’t published a running time for Glasgow.
The tour carries a 14+ age guide, and some venues have warned that strong language is part of the act, which won’t surprise anyone who has watched the videos.
Resale Is the Only Way In Now, and It Costs More
Face value tickets for Glasgow started at around £25. Since the date sold out, resale listings tracked by Stereoboard have ranged from about £62 up to £109 a ticket, which is more than double and up to four times what the original buyers paid.
If you’re going down that route, stick to Ticketmaster’s resale listings, which Stereoboard names as the official agent for this date, and don’t pay a stranger by bank transfer on social media for a ticket you can’t check.
Carlisle Is the Nearest Date Not Marked Sold Out
Edinburgh’s EICC show on Sunday 8 November, a 6pm start, is sold out as well. The next date south is The Sands in Carlisle on Wednesday 11 November, which the tour site doesn’t mark as sold out or selling fast.
Middlesbrough Town Hall on 12 November and Newcastle’s O2 City Hall on 14 November are both marked as selling fast, so the window for those is closing too.
Only the Stalls Have Step Free Access
The Pavilion opened as a music hall on 29 February 1904 and still has its stalls, circle and balcony, with no lift between them. The circle is 19 stairs up and the balcony is 70, so anyone with mobility needs should be in the stalls, which have step free access through a separate entrance on Renfield Street. There are four wheelchair spaces at the rear of the stalls, in row U, seats 25 to 28, and an accessible toilet at the back of the same level.
The theatre is a short walk from both Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central stations, and the nearest car park is Concert Square. For access bookings, the box office is on 0141 332 1846.
If you’ve got a ticket, aim to be there for 7pm. If you haven’t, Carlisle on the 11th is the closest night that isn’t already gone.
