Noodle Riviera, June 2026, The Hot Era Issue-02

Every spring there’s a Tuesday when the Mediterranean seems to breathe in and most magazines either arrive too late for it or too polished to notice. Tatler does the party, Condé Nast Traveller does the hotel and our own Hot June, the main issue this month, does the whole of May and can only spare the coast a section. So the coast got it’s own edition and Noodle Riviera, the Hot Era issue is put together the way the COMO Le Beauvallon delivers it’s guests, by boat from the Saint Tropez jetty, which is to say it arrives by sea, with a past and leaves it to you whether to come ashore.

From The Croisette To The Harbour

It opens on Cannes because Cannes had just wrapped: Cristian Mungiu’s second Palme for Fjord nineteen years after the first, Park Chan wook as the first Korean jury president, Ben’Imana as the first Rwandan film ever to screen there, Bella Hadid’s white lace Schiaparelli at 22,160 hours of embroidery, Skarsgård’s thigh high boots as the most discussed hemline of the fortnight and amfAR’s night at the Hôtel du Cap with $297 million raised on that terrace since 1993. Then the coast proper. The Beauvallon reopened, the Mondrian on the Croisette, One&Only Kea Island thirty minutes from Athens, Mykonos’s beach clubs opening in strict order, Lürssen’s 117 metre Boardwalk, 300 plus yachts at Palma, the cruise shows from the Villa d’Este to the Palais des Papes and the swimwear memo, where the O ring bikini is the season’s one piece of hardware and leopard is retired to a drawer. The Hot Era section has Dua Lipa at Old Marylebone Town Hall, Eurovision’s 516 points for Bulgaria and one for the United Kingdom and a Grand Prix that left May because of freight. The Table drifts rosé from Provence to a £19.50 Tavel and lists eight new London rooms and Culture takes the Serpentine Pavilion’s 25th, Hepworth in Colour and Christie’s $1.45 billion week.

Who It’s For

We went to press on 31 May, so the Grand Prix, the Serpentine opening and the Superyacht Cup are previews here, settled later in July’s Long Light and every picture is either our own labelled AI scene with no real likeness or sourced photography credited beside it.
