Leicester Bachata Tuesdays: Free First Class And A Free Social Every Week

Leicester bachata Tuesdays

Beginners in Leicester who have wanted to try bachata without paying for a course up front can walk into this one tonight for nothing. Latin Addiction run weekly bachata classes at Braunstone Frith Recreation Centre every Tuesday night, the first beginner class is free, and the social party at the end is free for everyone.

  • Date: tonight, Tuesday 27 October 2026, then every Tuesday after.
  • Venue: Braunstone Frith Recreation Centre, 29a Sharmon Crescent, Leicester LE3 6NW.
  • Doors: 7pm, classes from 7:15pm, social party 10:15pm to 11pm.
  • Price: first beginner class free, then £10 a class, £15 for 2, £18 for 3, social party free.
  • Booking: the free first class is booked through Eventbrite, paid classes through the Latin Addiction SumUp store, or cash and card at the door tonight.
  • Parking: free on the street.
  • Questions: 07424 063798.

One thing to sort out from the listing. The Eventbrite link only covers the free first beginner class. Paid classes, the 4 week newcomer pass and the multi class deals all go through the separate SumUp store link, so a returning dancer should not expect to find those on Eventbrite.

The Night Runs As 3 Classes In A Row

The timetable moves up a level every hour, so a dancer can stay for one class or all 3.

  • 7:15pm Foundation / Beginners
  • 8:15pm Improver / Intermediate
  • 9:15pm Intermediate / Advanced
  • 10:15pm to 11pm Free social party

No one needs to bring a partner. The organisers say no partner is needed for the classes, and the social at the end is open to anyone who turns up, class or no class.

What The Prices Work Out To Per Class

The newcomer offer is the one to look at if tonight’s free class goes well.

  • Newcomer pass: £20 for 4 consecutive weeks of beginner classes, which is £5 a class.
  • 1 class on the night: £10.
  • 2 classes on the night: £15, so £7.50 each.
  • 3 classes on the night: £18, so £6 each.

A beginner who takes the free class tonight and then the 4 week pass pays £20 for 5 weeks of lessons, running to 24 November. The pass is for beginners only, and the 4 weeks have to be consecutive, so a missed Tuesday is a lost class.

A Word On The Parking

Sharmon Crescent is a residential street on the Braunstone Frith estate, so the free parking is outside people’s houses. Dancers leaving at 11pm on a Tuesday will be the loudest thing on the crescent, and the neighbours are the ones who decide whether the centre keeps hosting late finishes.

Who Runs It And What It Is Not

Latin Addiction UK is a dance school, and the Tuesday night is their class with a social attached. The venue is a council recreation centre hall, not a bar or a club, so this is not a night out with a dance floor on the side. The timetable, prices and the free first class offer all come from the organiser’s own event listing, and the event page is where any change to tonight’s timetable will be posted first.

Has anyone been along to the Tuesday social yet, and does the 45 minute party at the end leave enough time to use what the class taught?
