3 Little Birds Turns Three Tonight With Six DJs and Free Entry on Hinckley Road
3 Little Birds, the Caribbean restaurant and cocktail bar at 42 Hinckley Road in Leicester, is throwing its third birthday party tonight, Saturday 7 November, and it isn’t charging anyone to come in. Doors open at 8pm and the music runs until 1am, with six DJs on the bill and an 18+ age limit on the event’s Fatsoma listing.
It’s a restaurant celebrating its own birthday, so you should expect a busy dining room turned into a dance floor and not a big club night, which is half the appeal if you’ve eaten there before.
Six DJs Are on the Bill, but No Set Times Have Been Published
The listing names six DJs, and the order they appear in on the poster isn’t a running order:
- DJ TC
- DJ Rambo
- MJ Mital
- DJ Miss Michchief
- DJ Attraction Blazin
- DJ Neil P
If you’re going for one DJ in particular, message the restaurant before you set off, since a five hour night split six ways means some sets could be fairly short.
Free Entry Still Needs Checking Before You Go
Fatsoma lists a free entry ticket, with up to 20 allowed per order, but this morning the page still read “Tickets on sale soon”, so it isn’t clear whether you’ll need one at the door or can turn up without it. Bring photo ID either way, because the party is 18+, and if you want to be sure of getting in, ring the restaurant on 0116 291 7221 or email [email protected] during the day.

The restaurant sells itself on food and cocktails with a Caribbean twist, with jerk chicken high on the menu, though the listing doesn’t say whether the kitchen will keep serving once the DJs start, so eating beforehand is the safer plan.
A Daytime Rave Runs at the Same Venue From Noon
Anyone who can’t make the evening has an earlier option. The UK Classics Day Rave takes over the same room from 12pm to 4pm today with UK garage, UK funky, R&B and anthems from the 1990s and 2000s. The limited free tickets have already gone, while standard tickets are listed at £5 plus a £1 booking fee. It’s a separate event from the birthday party, so if you want both you’ll be leaving at 4pm and coming back at 8pm.
Getting Home After 1am Takes Some Planning
First Bus route 18 runs along Hinckley Road between St Margaret’s Bus Station in the city centre and Fosse Park, which makes getting there easy enough, but check the route 18 timetable for the last bus before you go, because a 1am finish may well mean booking a taxi home.
If you can only make one of today’s two events, go to the evening one, since entry is free and it’s the night the restaurant has planned around its birthday.
