Glasgow Car Scene Holds Its Halloween Meet At Birkenshaw Industrial Estate On Sunday 25 October

Glasgow Car Scene Halloween meet

Car owners around Glasgow who want somewhere to show off a modified motor and a Halloween costume in one night have one this weekend. Glasgow Car Scene, the Facebook group, is running its big Halloween meet of 2026 at Birkenshaw Industrial Estate near Uddingston, and it runs from 7:30pm to 10:30pm on Sunday 25 October, entry is free, and all clubs, families and dogs on leads are welcome.

  • Date: Sunday 25 October 2026.
  • Time: 7:30pm to 10:30pm.
  • Venue: Birkenshaw Industrial Estate, off Rannoch Road, Uddingston, North Lanarkshire.
  • Cost: free, with a burger van on site.
  • Organiser: Gary Flynn and the Glasgow Car Scene Facebook group.

The Facebook event shows 12:30pm to 3:30pm, a time zone slip on the listing. Worked out for the UK, with the clocks going back at 2am that morning, the meet is 7:30pm to 10:30pm, after dark, and a Halloween meet with the car lights on makes more sense at that hour.

Dress Up Yourself Or Dress Up The Car

The organisers say the club’s official photographer will be walking round all night, so the effort put into a costume or a decorated car will end up on the group’s page. Cars with lights, wraps and Halloween props tend to get the most photos at meets like this, and the group has asked for people and cars alike in fancy dress.

Families are welcome, and so are dogs, with 2 rules attached:

  • Dogs stay on a lead all night, with cars moving in and out of the estate.
  • Owners pick up after them.

The burger van is the regular one the group uses, and the post asks everyone to take their rubbish home or use the bins on the estate.

This Is A Static Meet, And The Police May Turn Up

The organisers spell the rules out plainly. This is a static meet, like all the group’s meets, so no burnouts and no driving “like a loony” around the estate. They also warn of a very high chance the police will be present, and ask that every car is road legal and roadworthy before it comes through the gate.

Pops and bangs from exhausts are allowed, with one condition: look behind the car first. People, other cars and dogs will be walking around in the dark, and an exhaust flame next to a child is the quickest way to get a meet shut down.

Birkenshaw Is 10 Minutes Off The M74

Birkenshaw lies between Uddingston and Viewpark in North Lanarkshire, about 8 miles east of Glasgow city centre. The trading estate on Rannoch Road is the one with the DIY and furniture stores, and the industrial units around it give a car meet plenty of hard standing and space to park in rows.

Drivers from Glasgow take the M74 to junction 5 at Raith, then the A725 and Old Edinburgh Road into Uddingston. From the east, come off the M8 onto the A725. No train runs to the estate itself, so this is one for people with a car, and that is the point.

What The Night Is Likely To Cost

For most people the cost is the fuel and the food:

  • Entry: free
  • Burger van: pay on the night, cash is safest
  • Petrol from Glasgow city centre and back: about 16 miles

The post ends with “let’s start the Halloween meets off with a bang”, so more Halloween meets look to be planned over the week. The Glasgow Car Scene group on Facebook is where the next one will be posted.

What is your car getting dressed up as on Sunday?
