Edinburgh’s Trance Day Party Has Sold Out, And Aberdeen Is The One Still Open
Anyone who saw the Club Tropicana post going round this week and thought about going needs the awkward part first, which is that the Edinburgh date has gone. Daytime Disco put the Trance Day Party on sale for Saturday 10 October with 3pm doors, and by this week their own event page had it marked sold out, the same as their Glasgow date on 3 October had gone the Saturday before.
- Date: Saturday 10 October 2026.
- Time: 3pm to 8pm, last entry 5pm.
- Venue: Club Tropicana, 23 Lothian Road, Edinburgh EH1 2DJ, opposite the Usher Hall.
- Age: over 18s only, and the door may ask for photo ID.
- Tickets: sold out, no door sales for a sold out date, waiting list still open on Fatsoma and TicketMe.
People will still turn up at 3pm on Saturday thinking a club door always has a few spare, and this one will not, because Daytime Disco’s own FAQ says no extra tickets get released once a date has sold out and the door will not be selling any, so the waiting list on the ticket pages is the one official route left and it will only move if a ticket holder gives one back.
What The Tickets Cost Before They Went
£10 was the first release price, then £12.50, then £15, each with a £2.50 booking fee on top, which for 5 hours in a club is cheap, and the tiers are still showing on the Fatsoma page even though every one of them has gone. The same ticket at every tier, the organiser says, with the early buyers paying less for being early, which is the festival way of doing it.
Resale is allowed. Daytime Disco say outright that a ticket holder can sell or give a ticket to someone else and names are not used as a condition of entry, so the Facebook event page and the Edinburgh groups are where a spare might show up, if a spare shows up at all, and it would be wrong to promise that one will. If someone does offer you one at £30 you will at least know that the most anyone paid was £17.50 all in.
Trance Anthems All Afternoon, No DJ Named Yet
Daytime Disco describe the set as greatest hits, and the names on the listing are Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, ATB and Cosmic Gate, which anyone who was at the trance nights around 2000 could have written out themselves. The official listing only says “our DJ” and no performer has been named for Edinburgh, and that has been the pattern on this tour. Every one of those records is already on a phone somewhere in the house, so the money is going on hearing them on a club system with the room full. A set like this goes the way a good wedding DJ goes, the big ones everybody knows, in the order that keeps the floor moving, and no deep cuts that empty it.
Doors At 3pm And Everyone Out By 8pm
The afternoon slot is what Daytime Disco sell, and the 5pm last entry tells you the shape of the day, because the door shuts while it is still light outside and the room should be full by then. Anyone with a babysitter booked till 9, or a Sunday shift, would be home with the takeaway at a sensible hour and could still say they had been out.
Aberdeen On 17 October Is The Next Scottish Date
Aberdeen is down for Saturday 17 October on the Daytime Disco tour page, and as of this week it has not sold out, so for anyone in Edinburgh who missed this one that is the date to look at first. The 10 October tour runs the same afternoon in Fleet, Doncaster, Maidstone, Tamworth, Bournemouth, Sheffield and Lancaster, plus Newport in Wales, none of them sold out either, but those only help someone who was going south anyway.
Club Tropicana itself has 2 more daytime parties this month, Disco Days with Boogie’s Wonderland on Saturday 17 October and a Halloween one on Saturday 31 October, both from 2:30pm. It is the same room and the same sort of afternoon, with disco playing instead of trance.
Refunds, for anyone who is holding a ticket and now cannot go, are not given unless the event is moved or cancelled, so the answer there is to sell it on through the Facebook event and tell the buyer the £17.50 figure. Questions go to Daytime Disco events. The Daytime Disco Facebook page is where a change to the start time would be posted, so anyone with a ticket should look at it on Saturday morning before leaving the house.
