Alison Moyet Plays Bristol Beacon On Thursday, With A Set Built Almost Entirely From Yazoo Songs

Alison Moyet Bristol Beacon

Alison Moyet is at Bristol Beacon on Thursday 8 October, and this is not a greatest hits night. The whole set is Yazoo songs plus a few tracks from 2 of her electronic solo albums, which means a lot of material that has barely been played live outside Yazoo’s own 2 short tours. The catch, and it is a big one, is that Bristol has already sold out.

When And Where, And The Bad News On Tickets

  • Date: Thursday 8 October 2026
  • Venue: Beacon Hall, Bristol Beacon, Trenchard Street, BS1 5AR
  • Doors: 7pm, with the show starting at 8pm and Moyet herself on at around 9pm
  • Seating: reserved, with support still listed as to be announced

Her own website has Bristol down as sold out. Face value tickets were £35, £49.50 and £65, or £38.50 to £71.50 once the fees went on, and Eventim now shows every one of those bands as unavailable.

That 9pm start for Moyet is worth knowing if you do have a ticket. Turning up for 7 means an hour in the bar before anything happens and two hours before she is on.

Why This Set Is Different From A Normal Moyet Show

Yazoo only made 2 albums, Upstairs At Eric’s and You And Me Both, and only ever did 2 short tours. A handful of the big hits have turned up in Moyet’s live sets over the years, but most of the Yazoo catalogue has hardly been performed live outside those 2 tours.

For anybody who owned those records, this is a rare chance to hear the album tracks rather than just the singles, which is probably part of why the tour sold out the way it did.

It also means a few things will not be there. The tour is built only from the Yazoo songs and the 2 electronic solo records, so solo hits like All Cried Out and Love Resurrection are not part of the plan, at least on paper. Worth knowing before going in expecting them.

The 2 Solo Albums Filling Out The Rest

The other songs come from the minutes, from 2013, and Other, from 2017, which are the electronic side of her solo career rather than the big ballads. They sit next to the Yazoo material fairly naturally, since the whole tour is billed as an electronica set.

Interest in her back catalogue picked up again after her 2024 album Key, which gave her a first Top 10 in eleven years. And she has had a busy summer already, out on the Generations Tour across North America with The Human League and Soft Cell.

Who Is On Stage With Her

Moyet is touring with a band of 3, Sean McGhee, Brendan Cox and Paul Jones. The Bristol show is presented by SJM Concerts.

Where The Tour Goes After Bristol

  • 5 October: Liverpool, Empire Theatre
  • 6 October: Sheffield, City Hall
  • 8 October: Bristol, Beacon
  • 9 October: Cambridge, Corn Exchange
  • 10 October: Brighton, Dome
  • 12 October: Southend, Cliffs Pavilion
  • 13 October: Portsmouth, Guildhall
  • 15 October: Gateshead, The Glasshouse
  • 30 October: Inverness, Eden Court
  • 31 October: Aberdeen, Music Hall
  • 2 November: Dublin, 3Olympia
  • 3 November: Belfast, Waterfront Hall

Every date from Stockton through to Southend shows as sold out on her own site, so the run has gone fast.

If You Have Not Got A Ticket

Check the venue’s own site first, since returns sometimes come back on sale in the last few days before a show, and buying through Bristol Beacon or the official agents keeps you on face value. Resale sites tend to list well above it.

The later dates are the other option. Portsmouth, Gateshead and the Scottish, Dublin and Belfast shows did not show as sold out in the listing checked for this piece, so if a trip is possible, those are where to look.
