Elvana Bring The Nevermind Album To Coventry’s hmv Empire On Saturday, With A Few Tickets Left

Elvana Bring The Nevermind Album To Coventry’s hmv Empire On Saturday

The band’s own Facebook post for Coventry went up this week with “last few tickets” in the title and “Come as you are, baby” as the first line, which is their joke and their show in 5 words, Elvis Presley’s voice and manner over Nirvana’s songs. The date is Saturday 17 October at the hmv Empire on Hertford Street.

  • Date: Saturday 17 October 2026.
  • Time: 7pm on the listings. The venue has not put a doors time up, so arrive for 7pm and expect a queue.
  • Venue: hmv Empire, 22 Hertford Street, Coventry CV1 1LF.
  • Ticket: £32.94 with the booking fee in, through the band’s tix.to link.
  • Age: the venue runs most gigs at 14 plus, and anyone under 16 has to be with an adult over 18.
  • Standing: yes, with a few seats handed out first come first served, asked for at the door.

Nevermind Came Out On 24 September 1991 And This Tour Is Built On It

The tour is called Suspicious Neverminds. The band announced it in April as 35 years of Nevermind, the Nirvana album from September 1991, and their wording is a deep dive into the record with the Elvis material cut through it, which may mean most of the 12 tracks and may mean all of them in order. Nothing published says which.

Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, Lithium and In Bloom will be in whatever version they play, because those 4 are the singles and the reason the room fills. Polly and Something In The Way are the quiet ones on the record, and how a band does those with an Elvis voice on top is the part a first timer would want to see.

The quotes on the band’s listing are the Guardian’s “bafflingly brilliant”, an NME line, a Vice line, and a Billy Idol joke that Elvis would have been covering Nirvana anyway. Those are the band’s own picks and they have been on every Elvana listing for a few years.

£32.94 A Ticket, A Few Left, And No Box Office Until The Night

The ents24 listing has the ticket at £32.94 with the booking fee included. Stereoboard still showed the date on sale this week, so last few means last few and not gone.

If you open the venue’s own about page it says the box office only opens on the night of a show, and only if tickets are still left. Anyone thinking of walking up on Saturday would be hoping a few are unsold at 7pm, and the band’s tix.to link is the only way to buy before then.

A VIP meet and greet went on sale with this tour in May for selected venues, with the code ELVANA, and nothing on the Coventry listings shows one. Hmm, so Coventry is a standard ticket night, and the general enquiries line at the venue is 02475 315415 if the doors time matters for a lift home.

Seating Is First Come And You Ask At The Door

The hmv Empire sells most nights standing, and the seats it has go to whoever asks the door staff first on arrival. Anyone who needs one should ask at the door before going in, because once the room fills the seats will have gone.

Reading On Friday, Holmfirth And Hull The Week After, Birmingham In November

Coventry is the 5th of 16 dates on this run. Reading’s Hexagon has them on Friday 16, the night before. After Coventry it goes Holmfirth Picturedrome on 23 October, Hull Asylum on 24, Blackburn and Edinburgh in the first week of November, Stoke on 20 November and XOYO in Birmingham on 21 November, which would be the nearest date to Coventry for anyone who misses Saturday. Bath, Exeter, Brighton and Bournemouth take it to December, and the run ends at KOKO in London on 19 March 2027.

Leicester’s O2 Academy had the same show last Saturday. Anyone who was there will know by now whether the album got played in order, and that set is the one to look up before paying the £32.94.
