Halloween Party And Live DJ At The Fox, Walmley, Sutton Coldfield, On Saturday 31 October
If you are in Walmley or Sutton Coldfield tonight and have a costume, The Fox on Walmley Road has a DJ on from 8pm and is giving a £50 voucher to the best fancy dress.
- Date: Saturday 31 October 2026
- Time: 8pm, four hours on the listing, so finishing at midnight
- Venue: The Fox, Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery, Walmley Road, Sutton Coldfield B76 1NP
- Entry: Not priced, so free as far as the listing says
- Prize: £50 voucher for best fancy dress
- Phone: 0121 351 5680
The pub’s announcement went out under the name Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery and the poster says The Fox, Walmley. Both names mean the one pub, The Fox being the building and Stonehouse the chain. Some directories give the pub’s Saturday closing as 11pm, and the party is listed to midnight, so if you want the last hour, ring and ask.
What Is On
The announcement itself is one line: dig out your spookiest costumes and join the spookiest party in Sutton Coldfield. The poster adds the DJ, the fancy dress and the £50 voucher. No DJ is named and no entry price is given. The pub serves stone-baked pizza, a carvery, burgers and children’s meals, so a £50 voucher there covers a couple of family dinners.
If You Want To Eat Before The Music
The kitchen is open in the early evening as usual. Book a table on the Stonehouse website, not through the event page, and give yourself an hour and a half before 8pm.
- Table at 6.30pm, carvery or pizza
- DJ from 8pm, no ticket needed
- Costume judging at a time the poster does not say, so keep the outfit on
- Listed to midnight, with the 11pm question above

Parking And Buses
The pub has its own car park. CAMRA’s entry for The Fox says drivers may need to register their car at the bar so the parking stays free, and that is done in a minute on the way in. Walmley Road buses run late on a Saturday but not to midnight, so anyone staying to the end wants a lift or a taxi home.
Walmley is the part of Sutton Coldfield nearest Minworth, and The Fox was the local on that road before Stonehouse put its name on the sign.
Whose Night It Is
The Fox is a Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery, one of the Mitchells & Butlers pubs, and the party is the pub’s own. There is no promoter and no ticket seller. The £50 will be a Stonehouse voucher. Age limits are not stated, so families with young children should ask the pub how the later part of the night runs.
Who do you think wins the voucher, the home-made costume or the shop one?
